Okuma is a Japanese company manufacturing its fishing reels and rods in Taiwan. Okuma refers to itself as the "Tackle Company of the New Millennium". Its philosophy is reportedly to innovate and not to copy, to listen to fishermen, to be in the field, gather experience, learn and improve, to motivate with sponsored events. Apparently this philosophy coupled with the good quality/price ratio of their products has been paying off.
