Makers of Bamboo Fly Rods
This part of my website will tell about makers of bamboo fly rods that I met and spoke to. Alberto Poratelli is the first bamboo rod maker whom I met. All the others, the German professional fly rod maker Christian Strixner, the professional Danish Bjarne Fries, the exquiste MArco O. Giardina (MOG) from Neaples, I met at the gatherings of Waischenfeld (Germany) and during my school moment in Sansepolcro, Tuscany (Italy). Then more friends I met during the first European gathering, like Lauro... ...and it does not seem to be stopping.... They are the master rodsmiths I refer to in my entry homepage of this website.
They are all skilled hand-workers, fine artisans and generous companions willing to share their ideas. I thank them all for their time and patience in answering all my questions!
