Hello, my name is Jordan Romney. I am a fly fishing guide in Northern California. Growing up in this great state I spent most of my time chasing trout on the many rivers, creeks, and lakes. Right out of high school I found myself was getting bored of the old sit in a boat and wait for the fish. The answer to my ADD style fishing was the fly rod. I hooked a small 13" wild rainbow on a tiny stream on my first trip out. From then I was hooked. The hobby became the addiction as many know and took over.

I was recently certified by the Clearwater Guide School as a fly fishing guide. I am licensed, bonded and insured to guide in the state of California. I focus my guides on the Truckee River, Yuba River, Feather River, Lower Sac, and Putah Creek. Book a trip with me and I promise you will not regret it. I will provide you with gear, flies, lunch and proper technique that will give you a shot at hooking fish.

I offer half day trips for $225, full day trips for $300. A $25 charge will be added for extra anglers up to a total of three people. I do own a drift boat which I do trips on just for $275 for half day and $350 for a full day.

One of the things that I like to focus on are proper techniques for fishing and proper techniques for casting. I have assisted many classes for the fly fishing program at the Resort at Squaw Creek. You will be taught different types of casts for different situation that you will be able to take with yourself and use for the rest of your life.
