Perlon -Monofil GmbH has been producing monofilament lines for the fishing industry under their brand name Perlon TM for 60 years and so it counts among the world leading producers of polyamide (PA).  Perlon TM was first synthesized in 1939 but it was only after the Second  World War that a mass market  production started off.  In 1949 t the first ton of fishing line left the Perlon-Monofil GmbH manufacturing site in Dormagen , West Rhine Westfalia (Germany). The location in the Rhine rift,  was an ideal match for the production of the  revolutionary new material because it followed a natural tradition of the local industry already well advanced  with the manufacturing of different kind of  filaments . Today Perlon-Monofil GmbH’s  broad range of PA fishing lines is used all over the world. More than 1300 IGFA world records have been achieved with their monofilaments, tells me Mr Mader, of Perlon TM . More importantly, because Perlon Monofil GmbH is a subsidiary of a much larger operation belonging to Lanxess Deutschland GmbH - themselves world leaders in the production of PA paper industry cylinders -  they can take advantage of the huge possibilities of  the internal R&D division to create a wide range of fishing lines of any kind of sports and game fishing.  New partners understanding the high  volumes required in the production line can contact Mr Karl Mader.
