Fishing Bamboo

For the rest of people who wonder why fishing bamboo is so different there is only one thing to say : try it!

Fishing with a split cane is a unique feeling. And it's not me saying that.

Let my friend Luciano speak for it. Luciano was an avid angler and fine cabinet maker for all his life. I met him during my bamboo rod school in Sansepolcro, Tuscany (Italy). Luciano used to fish with very expensive fine quality modern fly fishing rods.

Then, one day, he happened to fish in the Tevere Tail Water in Sansepolcro and he saw a guy fishing with bamboo. At lunch time he got in touch with the guy and asked him if he could try with this "old" style rod.

The whole afternoon he kept fishing bamboo...and never picked up his modern carbon fibers rod again!!!

Luciano keep saying that fishing with a cane rod gave him sensations he never experienced before. He could actually feel the slightest movement and bites of the fish. His wrist fibrating at a catch and engaging a real one-to-one relation with the fish!

So, bamboo comes from nature and takes to nature, so to say!

Not enough as an explanation? Read on and check why fishing with a bamboo fishing rod puts you in touch with a whole world of fine fishermen and craftsmen both in the past and in our days!
