canna fa parte della serie “Brown” caratterizzata dal colore scuro del
bamboo che accoppiato al legno snake wood del portamulinello le
conferisce un aspetto estremamente caldo.
La
serie Brown è stata realizzata espressamente per essere presentata al
Fly Fishing Show di Somerset nel 2008 ed è composta da 4 misure: 6’,
6’3’’, 6’6’’, 6’9’’.
Queste
canne, corte, sono state studiate espressamente per essere utilizzate
per la pesca a mosca secca in piccoli torrenti e risorgive, l’azione
non è esasperata ma tranquilla e rilassante pur se all’uso la canna
rivela una insospettata riserva di potenza.
Una canna di questa serie è attualmente nella collezione privata di un mito del rodmaking mondiale: Hoagy B. Carmichael.
Una
canna in bamboo di sette piedi per coda quattro io la considero
“universale” perché consente di pescare in quasi tutte le situazioni e
in quasi tutte le acque. E’ la canna che consiglio a chi acquista la
sua prima bamboo rod.
Leggera
(solo 72 grammi), potente e allo stesso tempo dolce e delicata. Il
taper di questa canna è stato da me progettato tre anni fa e da allora
costantemente migliorato. Si tratta del taper della serie “Temolo”, una
serie che comprende le misure 7’, 7’6’’, 8’, tutte per coda quattro.
Questa canna è incollata con colla resorcinica che risalta, col suo colore rosso bruno, sugli spigoli del bamboo chiaro.
L’innesto in bamboo streamlined®,
presentato al Gathering Europeo di Sansepolcro nel 2008 e progettato in
collaborazione con Gabriele Gori è esclusivo delle mie canne e le
rende assolutamente uniche nel mondo.

Una
canna “da viaggio”, la lunghezza del tubo è di soli 80 cm e consente il
trasporto in aereo come bagaglio a mano risolvendo tanti problemi ben
conosciuti da chi viaggia.
Costruita
sul taper della serie “Temolo” con alcune variazioni nel tallone per
aumentarne la potenza questa canna è particolarmente adatta ai fiumi di
media dimensione e si presta sia alla pesca con la mosca secca che con
ninfe leggere.
La
colla resorcinica utilizzata per l’incollaggio mette in risalto il
bamboo chiaro con i sottili profili rosso bruno sugli spigoli della
sezione esagonale.
Naturalmente costruita con gli innesti streamlined®che ne fanno un oggetto unico nel panorama mondiale.
Si
tratta della versione ufficiale della canna realizzata in
collaborazione tra IBRA e Roberto Pragliola, l’inventore della TLT.
Scrive di essa Marco Giardina: “
… quelli che riescono a provare le canne IRP rimangono colpiti
dall’azione moderna della canna, che nulla concede al conservatorismo
ed alla nostalgia del passato, e porta molti a chiedersi se per anni
non si sia perso qualcosa …”
La
presentazione di questa canna ha avuto un effetto dirompente nel mondo
del bamboo e possiamo ritenerla la vera novità mondiale per quanto
riguarda le bamboo rods.

the first generation of Italian modern rodmakers.
